Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our skin that, as one of its functions, assists in the maintenance of volume and elasticity. With age, however, hyaluronic acid diminishes, leaving the skin thin and dry. Replenishing hyaluronic acid levels helps to plump and hydrate the skin thus restoring its youthful appearance.
A very fine needle is used to administer multiple microinjections in the areas of concern. Three treatments spaced 2-3 weeks apart are performed, followed by a single treatment every 3-4 months as maintenance. While the product itself is virtually painless, the discomfort associated with the injection is eased with the application of a topical anesthetic at the beginning of the procedure.
