The revolutionary technology of DOT Therapy rejuvenates the skin, eliminating wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, acne and other scars, as well as has the unique ability to tighten loose skin. FAQ
How does it work?
The SmartXide DOT™ CO2 laser system emits CO2 laser energy that creates thousands of microscopic perforations (vaporization of the skin) at a controlled depth. This stimulates new collagen growth and promotes tissue coagulation, resulting in skin tightening. Its fractional nature leaves bridges of skin between the vaporized columns of tissue. This helps with the healing process by reducing recovery time and associated risks (particularly unwanted hypopigmentation), thereby allowing the skin to heal faster.
How many sessions do I need?
Mild treatments typically require 1-2 days of downtime (ideally with 3-5 treatments), moderate treatments require 3-5 days (ideally with 2-3 treatments) and more aggressive treatments require 5-7 days of downtime (ideally with 1-2 treatments).
What are the side effects?
Immediately afterward, there may be some redness accompanied with warmth and some degree of swelling. Some patients complain about itchiness as well. All side effects are temporary and can be controlled with a moisturizer and cold compresses.
