Ottawa BOTOX®
BOTOX® is a simple, non-surgical solution for facial wrinkles and lines. It treats dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated muscular contractions such as frowning and squinting - relaxing the muscles and noticeably refreshing the facial appearance in just a few days. As such, it is an incredibly popular procedure used by hundreds of thousands of men and women worldwide.
BOTOX® was cleared for use in Canada in April 2001 for frown lines between the eyebrows. Since then, it has been approved for a number of other indications, such as hyperhidrosis and spasticity.
The procedure, performed by Dr. Vassiliou, involves precise injections of tiny amounts of a liquid purified protein. The needle used is fine and the pain minimal; most patients compare the sensation to a bug bite.
The effects of BOTOX® usually last three to four months and after several treatments, results may last even longer.

How long do the results last?
The results typically last approximately four months, although after a series of treatments they may last longer. Results vary for each patient.
Is BOTOX® just for wrinkles?
No. BOTOX® doesn't just soften wrinkles around the eyes - it can also elevate the brows thereby opening up the eyes and making you appear less tired. In fact, some clients get BOTOX® just for the brow lift.
How much does it cost?
A typical treatment will cost approximately $300 or more, depending on the amount injected. Pricing is determined by the number of units injected.
