• Is there recovery time associated with your treatments?

  Recovery time from almost any procedure at Dermaworks Aesthetics Clinic is minimal.* It really depends on the patient and their type of treatment. During your consultation appointment, any expected downtime will be detailed, and all aftercare instructions provided when needed.

• What forms of payment do you accept?

  We accept VISA, MasterCard, Interac debit cards and Cash. We do not accept personal cheques.

• Do you have financing capabilities?

  We offer financing through MediCard, Canada’s premier lender for patient financing. They offer competitive interest rates, fast approval and all applications are strictly confidential.

• If I want an anti-aging procedure, how will you select which treatment will work best for me?

  All our anti-aging treatments are customized to suit the individual, including the person’s skin tone, the extent of issues such as wrinkles, lines, creases, sagging, and pigmentation problems (sun spots, age spots, freckles, etc.). With a wide scope of treatments available, we may use a combination of treatments to achieve the improvements you need.

• What types of treatments do you offer at Dermaworks?

  We offer a wide range of skin treatments to address face and body issues, including:

  • Facial wrinkles
  • Lax, loose facial skin
  • Aging neck skin
  • Crepey décolletage skin
  • Dry, rough skin
  • Acne scars
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Dull skin
  • Thin lips

• Will I need to take time off work after a treatment?

  Many of our non-surgical treatments involve no recovery time and you can return to your work or other activities immediately. We are here to answer all your questions, including about recovery time, at you initial consultation.

• What procedures are available for men?

  All our procedures are available for both men and women.

• Can dermal fillers be effective for resolving wrinkles without leaving you looking unnatural or puffy?

  Yes. A common error that creates an unnatural look is injecting too much filler. At our clinic, we take a conservative approach, as we want to create a look that is smooth, fresh, and young – but looks like you.

• What do I need to do to prepare for BOTOX treatments?

  No real preparation is needed prior to BOTOX injections. A few tips to avoid bruising at the injection site: avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, or most of the over-the-counter medications a few weeks prior to your treatment, as these products thin the blood. If you currently take blood thinners, you are more likely to bruise. The same is true for people who smoke. We will discuss these issues with you in person, but Dr. Vassiliou is meticulous when performing BOTOX injections and most patients do not experience excessive bruising.

• What is the best way to make your skin look younger?

  There is no “best way,” as the condition of your skin is unique to you. While many people trust to injectables such as BOTOX or Juvéderm to keep the facial skin looking young and fresh, others may require a chemical peel, vibradermabrasion, a medical facial, or facial mesotherapy to achieve their goals. You can be confident that we will customize your treatment to suit your individual needs.
